That’s exactly what Peter Youngs did with his book Ice Cream, Cakes and a Very Long Walk.

Peter walked from Land’s End to John O’Groats over a period of 3 years and 7 months, covering 1,535 miles during 107 days of walking.  Not only that, but he documented each day in his journals.

This new, hard back publication with dust jacket is the product of his efforts. Complete with colour photographs, drawings and maps, and finished to an exceptionally high standard, it provides a truly lovely and engrossing read.

Despite the initial panic about the immediate and wholesale demise of traditional printed books due to the take over by electronic books, both formats sit alongside each other in a parallel market. This in turn offers more opportunities for book sales, be they text only or image heavy.

Many of our authors look to produce both a printed and electronic book, launching the traditional book first with a smaller print run, followed up by an eBook version.

An eBook still needs to go through the same rigorous process of concept, design, layout, proofing and production, and that is what we provide. Once all this has been completed and signed off, we convert the manuscript to the correct formats for the various eReaders – such as Kindle, iPad. This conversion is a one-off cost.

 

 

eBook files can be uploaded easily onto various sites for our authors to sell directly, or we can provide international distribution that includes all the major eBook selling sites.

Our costs are priced per page, depending on the format and extent and start from £1 per page (plus vat).
